Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh is so badly injured after an assassination attempt that is unclear when he will return, his deputy Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi said in an interview on Thursday.

Hadi said that, according to the doctors, no one can tell when Saleh might return. “Days, weeks, months,” he said through a translator. “It could be months, this is a decision that is up to the doctors.”

Saleh was injured in a bomb attack earlier this month and rushed to Saudi Arabia for treatment.
