Violent clashes between police and Greek protesters continue, with attempts to set fire to the headquarters of the finance ministry.

Hundreds of young people throwing rocks and other objects have tried to break through lines of riot police.

The protesters had gathered outside parliament ahead of the vote, only to be further enraged when the result was announced.

Exact figures on how many people have been arrested or hurt have not been released by authorities.
