Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s trial in Kiev on charges of abuse of power began on Wednesday, but only to be ajourned until July 4. The charges relate to a 10-year deal signed with Russia’s Gazprom in 2009. Tymoshenko says the trial is “political revenge”, and she accused the judge of being in President Yanukovic’s pocket in the stormy hour-long session.
