Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade has withdrawn a bill that would have made it easier for him to be re-elected. On Thursday, protests against it lead to violent clashes on the streets of the capital, Dakar. However, the President has not withdrawn his plans to create a Vice President role, which the opposition fears could be given to his son.
