Suicide bomb attack in Nigeria

A suspected suicide bomber has targeted a police station in the Nigerian capital Abuja.

The explosion is the latest in a series of attacks against the emergency services.

No other injuries have been reported but several vehicles were destroyed.

The blasts are suspected to have been carried out by Boko Haram, a radical Islamist sect.

The group has warned that it will carry out further attacks if Nigeria does not apply Sharia law more widely.
