After occupying one of Madrid’s main squares for four weeks, demonstrators have begun voluntarily dismantling their tents. They call themselves “The Outraged”. They are mainly young people disenchanted with Spain’s politicians and the country’s youth unemployment rate of 45 percent.

The protesters will keep an information point in Puerta del Sol and the protest will continue in other neighbourhoods around Madrid.

They say they will continue their fight to sweep away the country’s governing elite that they claim has ceased to represent them.
