Albertina Sisulu funeral held in Soweto

Thousands of people have turned out for the funeral of one of South Africa’s leading anti-apartheid figures. President Jacob Zuma called Albertina Sisulu a “national heroine” at the service in Orlando Stadium in Soweto. A statement was read on behalf of Nelson Mandela, who spent 25 years in prison with Albertina Sisulu’s husband, Walter.
