Take a look at just how far the internet has come in the last decade and try to imagine what the future of the net has in store. Spanish communications company Neo Labels Company has teamed up with a consultancy firm, Mitsue Venture, to provide what they believe is a glimpse of what we can expect from new technology. Their video uses dozens of data sources to offer a clear and precise summary of the evolution of the internet in recent years as well as a prediction of what is yet to come. For example, it shows that e-mail usage has fallen 11 percent among those aged 35 or below, and that the number of people who only access the internet via mobiles will leap from 14 million last year to 788 million in 2015. And to give an idea of what the internet can achieve over a period of 20 years, the web traffic generated by 20 households in 2015 is forecast to match that generated by the entire world in 1995.
