JPMorgan trading blunder spooks bank stocks China’s statistics office has said it is investigating one official in a probe into the leaking of economic information.
Media reports say other officials from the statistics office and China’s central bank have resigned and may also be prosecuted over leaks.
Inflation and GDP growth figures have frequently been made public ahead of their official release and the authorities are concerned about investors gaining advantage from that.
