Prosecutors say former Egyptian president, Hosni Mubarak is too ill to be moved to prison from his hospital in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
The 83-year-old was ousted in February after 18 days of civil protests. Officials say at least 846 people died, many from gunshot wounds.
Mubarak has been in hospital custody since April after reportedly having a heart attack while being questioned over the deaths of anti-government protesters and alleged fraud.
Last week, he and his two sons were were referred to a criminal court on charges of ordering the killings of demonstrators and graft.
Prosecutors say all three have been also charged with profiteering and squandering public funds.
