The Prince of Asturias Prize for Letters has been awarded to Leonard Cohen. The finalists also included Alice Munro and Ian McEwen.
Leonard Cohen’s work is well-known all over the world. Primarily famous for his songwriting and singing, he has also published various volumes of poetry, and a number of novels.
Next week the judges will announce the Asturias prize for International Cooperation.
