Inspired by the so-called “Indignant” movement sweeping Spain, thousands of Greeks gathered in Athens on Sunday for their largest protest so far.
No official figure has been given for the crowd packing the emblematic Syntagma Square, but some estimates put the number at 100,000.
Thousands have gathered in there every day since last Wednesday.
The protest has been peaceful, with people banging pots and pans and chanting slogans against the government.
Fresh austerity measures were brought in last week but the fear is they will not be enough and Greece may need more bailing out.
