Plane crash in Patagonia kills 19

A plane has crashed in the remote Patagonian region of Argentina, killing all 19 passengers and three crew.

The aircraft, operated by regional airline Sol, sent an emergency call at 8.50pm local time but was then not heard from again.

The Saab 340 turboprop came down in a remote area with poor road access.

Eyewitnesses say debris is scattered over a wide area.
