Officials say a suicide bomber killed a police officer in the capital of Russia’s violence-plagued Dagestan region in the North Caucasus.
The bomber detonated explosives strapped to his body when police tried to stop him at an intersection to check his documents.
The blast killed one officer and wounded another. The bomber was also killed.
