The Pentagon has released five video clips of Osama bin Laden, which it says were taken from the compound in the raid on Monday that resulted in his death.
Officials say the images clearly show that bin Laden was still in control of al Qaeda, providing strategic, operational and tactical instructions to the group.
The videos appear to show bin Laden rehearsing for some of the recorded messages he occasionally distributed to his followers.
At one point he is seen wrapped in a blanket, apparently reviewing images of himself in different settings.
It is not clear exactly where the videos were recorded, but initial analysis suggests at least one was made inside the compound.
