Just over nine years ago, Americans were united in grief after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Now, Americans are united in celebration after the killing of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of those atrocities.
The death of the world’s most wanted man triggered celebrations in New York City’s Times Square, not far from where the Twin Towers once stood and where over 2,600 people were murdered.
In Washington, jubilant crowds gathered outside the White House. Many waved American flags and others chanted “USA, USA” as they celebrated bin Laden’s demise.
