The Danish restaurant Noma has been voted the world’s best eatery for the second year in a row.
The S Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants, produced by Britain’s Restaurant Magazine, have been unveiled in London after a panel of 800 chefs, restaurateurs, journalists and foodies placed Noma at the forefront of the “new guard” of global cuisine.
Rene Redzepi is head chef at Noma, prizes are not at the top of his menu:
“I want more children that’s really what I want. But in terms of these kinds of accolades it is not something that is controlling my life.”
Redzepi cooks up a new kind of Nordic nosh, if you fancy musk ox and smoked marrow, sea urchin and dill or beef cheek and pear then head for Copenhagen for a night of nutritious nibbles at Noma.
