A French TV presenter and green activist says he intends to run for president next year.

Nicolas Hulot, star of a long-running nature series, says he wants to build a new style of politics.

But he has upset many in the green movement who back the established Europe-Ecology party.

The 56-year-old considered running last time round but dropped out.
