Russian finance minister resigns after Medvedev attack Austria’s Vice-Chancellor and finance minister Josef Proell has resigned for health reasons.
The 42-year-old, who has had treatment for a blood clot on his lungs, said he was quitting politics altogether.
His resignation deprives the ruling coalition of a popular politician who supporters had hoped would be a key figure in helping stave off the far right.
