American film director Sidney Lumet dies

The American film director Sidney Lumet has died of lymphoma.

He was 86. Lumet was awarded an honorary lifetime achievement Oscar in 2005 for a stream of classics including 12 Angry Men, Network, Dog Day Afternoon and Fail-Safe.
