Iranian exiles killed at Camp Ashraf: reports

world news

| |

At least ten Iranian exiles have died in clashes at Iraq’s Camp Ashraf, Reuters reported.

The Iran Policy Committee, a lobby group that tries to shape US policy towards Tehran, issued a video it says shows the killings.

But the organisation said the death toll was higher with at least 31 people killed and some 300 wounded.

euronews has been unable to independently verify its content.

The video was filmed by the People’s Mujahideen Organisation of Iran, a guerrilla group that opposes the country’s Shi’ite cleric leaders.

The Iraqi government confirmed the fighting but said there were no fatalities.
