Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev was sworn in on Friday after winning election for the fourth time last weekend.

Election observers said the poll was marred by irregularities and a lack of transparency.

Nazarbayev won 95.5 percent of ballots cast.

Kazakhstan, the largest economy in Central Asia, has been run by Nazarbayev, 70, since Soviet days, ensuring stability appreciated by both Russia and the West.
