A powerful new earthquake rocked northeast Japan on Thursday and was felt as far as Tokyo.

The 7.4-magnitude tremor off the coast triggered a tsunami warning and calls for people in affected areas to move to higher ground. The tsunami warning was later lifted according to local media outlet NHK.

The region is still reeling from last month’s earthquake and tsunami that killed or left missing some 28,000 people.

No damage from the latest quake has been reported at the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant.
