UN plane crashes in DRC - several dead


A United Nations plane has crashed in the Democratic Republic of Congo killing at least 10 people and injuring 16.

A UN official said the aircraft was attempting to land at the airport serving the capital Kinshasa after a flight from Goma in the east.

The source said the plane landed heavily and caught fire after breaking into two pieces.
