In Afghanistan its been reported ten foreign workers have been killed in an attack on the United Nations headquarters at Mazar I Sharif.
The deaths in the northern town have been confirmed by the police while a UN spokesman confirmed there was an incident and added they are in the process of establishing what happened.
Its believed protesters angry at recent threats to burn the Koran in the United States may have been behind the attack.
