Cities worldwide mark WWF Earth Hour

Cities all over the world turned off the lights to mark the WWF’s Earth Hour on Saturday.

Those who took part were showing their support for renewable energy.

This is the fifth year the World Wide Fund for Nature has held the event. The organisation aims to promote a sustainable future for the planet.

Although the landmarks grabbed all the media attention, the famous buildings weren’t the only ones taking part. Millions of homes and businesses also stayed dark for an hour to show their support
