Defiant Gaddafi addresses the nation

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has appeared on Libyan state television once again in a defiant mood. As well as speaking on camera he was addressing a gathered audience of enthusiastic loyalists. He called on people not to let the rebels divide Libya, and he told the country that his forces will be victorious. He was also clearly angered by international reaction.

Gaddafi said “France is now raising her head and wants to attack you want to attack Libya?”

Directing his comments at President Sarkozy he said “it is us who attack you..come on..come on..try to attack us.”

He remained convinced that his forces will win the battle for control of Libya.

“If it’s an internal or an external conspiracy we’ll erase it…if it’s a military conspiracy we’ll erase it.. we will erase it by the Libyan people and the Libyan tribes who gathered together in one army to liberate every Libyan inch from the enemies.”
