Protests follow deadly sectarian clashes in Egypt

People have once more taken to the streets of Cairo, this time to protest about sectarian violence which claimed the lives of several.

The clashes erupted on Tuesday night as an estimated two thousand Christians protested against the burning of a church in Cairo last week.

As many as 13 were killed. The health ministry said around 140 were injured.

Christians angry about the church attack blocked a main road south of Cairo on Tuesday night. Security sources say the violence broke out when Muslims tried to pass through. Witnesses say petrol bombs and rocks were thrown.
