Iranian woman pardons man for acid attack Iran’s Nobel Peace laureate Shirin Ebadi has lent her support to the Opposition movement in Tehran. On what has become known as “Protest Tuesday” she called on them to mark International Women’s Day. “Equal rights can only be realised under democratic rule,” she said and called for the release of all opposition leaders.
