Geneva rolls out the customs

If you fancy some really unique transport – and have lots of money – then the Geneva Motor Show is the place to find tricked out versions of already insanely expensive cars created for the driver with deep pockets and perhaps a big ego.

Aston Martin’s Virage Luxe is the top of its range and even comes with a boot full of matching leather luggage, but if you want it more personalised, that is possible.

Aston’s Design Director, Marek Reichman, explained: “You can have your name here (on the dashboard). We can do individual stitching of your monogram, your initials, whatever it may be, anywhere on the car. So we have a totally bespoke service in that respect.”

Customising is big business and a way for owners to stand out from the crowd if their car is one of millions of the same model.

It is also a way for the manufacturers to boost their slim profits on smaller cars in a tight market.

Which is why you can see a bewildering array of options on show at Geneva – everything from the sublime to the bizarre.

Every story can be told in many ways: see the perspectives from Euronews journalists in our other language teams.
