Euronews’ Luis Carballo had another difficult day in Cairo as he sought out stories of the epochal events. This is his latest report:
“The soldiers have received orders to help the demonstrators. At no time have they opened fire on them, or shown hostility towards them, just like in the last few days. The pro-Mubarak camp has hardly stirred, but despite their inactivity the euronews team has had problems with them.
We were detained for an hour and a half by Mubarak supporters, who identified themselves as members of the security services. We were detained with Egyptians who said they’d been beaten and tortured. Later we were released, unharmed.”
