Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak has announced that he does not intend to run for the presidency again.
However, in a televised speech amid unprecedented demonstrations against his rule, he said he intends to stay in power until the new polls in September.
Mubarak said his main priority was the stability of the nation to allow a transfer of power.
He also promised constitutional reform and made it clear he does not plan to leave Egypt, saying that he would die on Egyptian soil.
