President Hosni Mubarak has sworn in his new cabinet despite his own increasingly precarious position.
A new Interior, Defence and Prime Minister are just some of the fresh faces to come in after an overhaul of the old government.
The reshuffle, however, appears to have done little to appease the tens of thousands of protesters calling for Mubarak’s head on a plate.
For the moment, he remains deaf to their calls and appears intent on riding out the storm.
Much of the new cabinet has a distinctly military feel to it with some members having served under Mubarak in the armed forces during the 1970’s.
But, it’s not all change, one man who keeps his job is Defence Minister Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, with the added bonus of being promoted to deputy-Prime Minister.
