Prayers in South Africa for Nelson Mandela

Churchgoers in South Africa have being saying special prayers for former president Nelson Mandela.

The 92-year-old was released from hospital on Friday after spending two nights being treated for a respiratory infection. He is now being cared for at home.

Mandela served 27 years in jail on charges of plotting against South Africa’s apartheid government.

He was released in 1990 and went on to become his country’s first black president four years later.
