Facebook film bags four Golden Globes


Facebook film “The Social Network” picked up four Golden Globe awards including best drama, best director for David Fincher, best screenplay and best musical score.

The film, which recounts the founding of the social networking site Facebook, is now front-runner in the race for the Oscar’s.

Natalie Portman got the globe for best actress for her performance as a ballet dancer in the psychological thriller “Black Swan,” which centres around a production of Swan Lake in New York.

British performer Colin Firth was named best actor for his portrayal of stuttering monarch King George VI in the film “The King’s Speech.”

Danish offering “In a Better World” won the globe for the best foreign language movie a film where friendship evolves into a dangerous alliance.
