Deadly floods strike Brazil

Floods and mudslides left at least 250 people dead in southeast Brazil on Wednesday.

The Serrana mountains of Rio have been worst hit. Heavy tropical rain sent hillsides crashing into towns and rivers burst their banks.

Rescue workers spent the day trying to reach the affected areas .

President Dilma Rousseff has freed up 320 million euros in emergency aid for the region.
