Iran arrests nuclear death suspects

world news

Iran says it has arrested ten Israeli spies, accusing them of murdering an Iranian nuclear scientist.

Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, a physics professor, was killed by a car bomb in Tehran a year ago.

The Iranian government says the ten suspected members of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency were involved in the assassination.

Israeli officials have declined to comment.

Two years ago, Iran executed telecoms executive, Ali Ashtari on charges of spying for Israel and intercepting government communications about its nuclear programme.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last November that “all options were on the table” to halt Iran’s atomic ambitions, which Tehran claims are purely civilian.
