Four Turkish engineers kidnapped in Afghanistan

Four Turkish engineers working on a road project in Afghanistan have been seized by gunmen.

The men and their driver were taken in the eastern Paktia province, considered a hotbed of insurgency. kidnappings have become a lucrative business in Afghanistan helping the Taliban to generate war funds.

The latest abductions follow the killing on Saturday of a German aid worker in the north of the country.
