world news

| |

Just before Christmas in Hamburg in Germany it won’t be just Santa Claus providing pleasure and surprises.

Twin brothers Frederick and Gerrit Braun are the creators of what is known as Mini Wonderland, the world’s biggest miniature train network.

There are 900 trains, 10,000 wagons and 12 kilometres of tracks, with replicas of famous world cities and locations.

Painstaking attention has been paid to the detail.

The entire network is monitored by more than 170 computers.

And how long did it take to create? The Braun brothers reckon they spent more than 500,000 hours trying to make everything perfect.
