French journalists freed in Afghanistan 
Families rejoice at French hostages release An armed youth has taken up to six children hostage at a nursery school in eastern France.
According to French radio, elite police units have taken up position around the school in Besançon, and the area has been evacuated.
One report said the assailant is 17 years old and entered the Charles Fourier school armed with two swords.
Twenty youngsters were held at the start but several were released or managed to escape.
