Avedon Paris auction fetches millions of euros

A rare auction of prints by the late American photographer Richard Avedon has fetched a record 5.5 million euros at Christie’s in Paris.

Among them was his famous outsized print of 1950s model Dovima with elephants at a circus, which sold for more than 800.000 euros.
