After deliberating since Monday, FIFA executive members have banned Amos Adamu from all soccer activity for three years and Reynald Temarii for one year. The pair will also be fined. The measures follow claims that the two men attempted to sell their votes in the 2018 and 2022 World Cup hosting ballot.

Adamu was fined 7,400 euros and Temarii 3,700 euros. But claims by British newspaper The Sunday Times that some bidding countries were also guilty of collusion were dismissed.
