A suicide car bomber has attacked a NATO convoy near Afghanistan’s parliament building in Kabul.
Police said an Afghan soldier and one member of the NATO-led international force ISAF were wounded in the blast on the outskirts of the city.
It is the first serious attack in Kabul in three months, since security was increased.
Elsewhere, in eastern Afghanistan, an ISAF service member was killed by insurgents.
Violence across the country has reached its worst level since the Taliban were overthrown in 2001. Saturday marks the ninth anniversary of the fall of the regime in Kabul.
