One in four petrol stations in France is now without fuel.

The supply chain has been slow to get moving after the recent wave of strikes.

Only five stations out of 350 on the motorway are closed.

It is the start of the half-term holiday and the government has made refuelling here a priority.

The French government has pledged to restore supplies.

But the unions are digging their heels in after the Senate approved pension reform legislation on Friday.

They are warning of more action and further shortages.
