Electricite de France says it wants to press ahead with building nuclear power plants in the state of Maryland, despite a falling out with its US partner Constellation Energy Group.
EDF said it wants to buy Constellation’s stake in the project at “fair market value.”
However the two companies are at odds over an option that Constellation has to sell 12 non-nuclear power plants to EDF.
EDF has said it will resist any attempt by Constellation to exercise that option, calling it “imprudent and destructive.”
