Mini cars, maxi investment BMW says its recall of almost 200 thousand luxury cars in the US over potential leaks in the power braking system is being extended to a further 150 thousand of the same series worldwide.
That means globally around 345 thousand BMW 5,6 and 7 series vehicles powered by V8 and V12 engines are at risk of developing the problem.
The owners of almost 6,000 Rolls Royce Phantom models are also being notified.
The company says there have been no reports of accidents or injuries. The owners of the cars concerned are asked to contact an authorised BMW BMW centre.
