Inflation in the euro zone has risen again, led by higher energy costs.

The EU’s statistics office, Eurostat, said consumer prices in the 16 countries that use the euro was 1.8 percent higher in September compared to the same month last year.

That was an increase on August’s 1.6 percent annual rate.

The euro’s fall against the dollar has pushed up prices of imported goods.
