There is flooding in eastern Germany after the wettest September on record.

At least 2,500 people have been evacuated from towns south of Berlin, while schools and in some places even hospitals have been closed.

Water levels are expected to peak by tomorrow in the city of Dresden.

It follows heavy flooding in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland two months ago.

It is feared the worst is yet to come.

Water levels in many parts of eastern Germany are still rising, with as much as an additional 20 centimetres expected in places.
