Mario Testino exhibition

The Thyssen Museum in Madrid has opened a new exhibition of work by Peruvian photographer Mario Testino. The collection of 54 photographs spotlights two facets of the photographer’s work; fashion and nudes – and is called Todo o Nada: everything or nothing.

Mario Testino says: “The women in my photos determine my work, and perhaps this is the essence of it. I take a photograph of the woman, not of the dress.”

Talking about the exhibition he says: “This sort of magic is a mixture of things. Honesty is very important but also fantasy. It’s very interesting. Something that you don’t know or you haven’t seen before.”

The exhibition runs until the 9th January 2011.
