Rescuers in Chile have begun drilling a third escape tunnel which may be needed to reach 33 miners trapped underground since August the 5th.
The Chilean president has visited the scene, but said it was too early to say when rescuers would try to pull the miners out.
Sebastian Pinera said: “We have done our best to rescue them alive. And we will succeed in this tremendous effort. When? We don’t know, but it will be sooner than you expect.”
The president also met the wife of one of the miners who recently gave birth to a baby.
Some reports say authorities are hoing to begin the rescue attempt on October the 18th.
